ASUS has unleashed its flagship Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WIFI motherboard which features an insane 36-phase VRM for AMD Threadripper 7000 CPUs. The TRX50 series is primarily intended for the High-End Desktop (HEDT) market, but with non-PRO Threadripper CPUs price tags, one may consider these motherboards as luxury items. Professionals and advanced users looking to build capable compute farms now have the ASUS TRX50 SAGE motherboard as an option. It can accommodate the flagship 96-core Threadripper 7000 PRO CPU and offers a generous 5 PCIe slots, with three of them supporting the Gen5 x16 interface. This motherboard boasts 10Gb and 2.5GB Ethernet ports and even incorporates support for SlimSAS NVMe technology. Power-wise, we’ve got a 36-phase VRM design, with two fans on each side. There’s also DDR5 memory here in quad-channel, thanks to it not being a consumer board, with ECC memory support.
ASUS includes dual 8-pin power connectors on the TRX50-SAGE motherboard, as well as the massive VRM cooling system, chipset cooler, M.2 heatsinks keeping your SSDs as cool as possible, as well as an M.2 thermal pad. You will also find front and rear USB Type-C 20 Gbps ports along with Slim-NAS connectors. To power the large amount of PCIe lanes, the motherboard comes with two more power plugs, an 8-pin and a 6-pin next to the four SATA III ports.
