DJI is launching the Osmo Action 4 sports action video camera. The Osmo Action 4 is the successor to the DJI Osmo Action 3. The new DJI sports action camera has a slightly larger image sensor. The Osmo Action 4 boasts a larger 1/1.3-inch image sensor with a pixel size of 2.4μm and an f/2.8 aperture, enabling users to shoot stunning 4K videos at an impressive 120fps. That compares to GoPro’s current flagship Hero 11 Black camera, which can match that and support up to 5.3K / 60fps footage.The 155º wide-angle lens ensures that no action is missed, capturing the full essence of thrilling moments. It also supports 10-bit D-Log M for higher dynamic range and offers compatibility with larger 512GB microSD cards for increased storage capacity.
It also offers a new accessory, the Osmo Action GPS Bluetooth Remote Controller, which can provide GPS metadata in video files. Other features of the Osmo Action 4 include the Rocksteady 3.0 Plus digital stabilization system It also has HorizonSteady which can lock the tilt of a recording to maintain a straight footage. The InvisiStick mode makes the 1.5m selfie stick to be invisible and is upgraded in the Action 4.The new camera also comes with improved waterproof protection. It can be submerged in water up to 18 meters and it remains compatible with accessories from the older model.The camera retains key features from the previous model, such as a 2.5-hour battery life, front and back touchscreens, and compatibility with the AI editing LightCut app.
