Over the years, the smartphone industry has witnessed a significant shift towards larger form factors, emphasizing size and performance. However, amidst this trend, there remains a notable group of users who yearn for the simplicity and convenience of compact smartphones. Addressing this demand, Chinese phone maker Doogee has unveiled the Doogee Smini, a smartphone that blends a small form factor with rugged durability and a retro-inspired twist. The Doogee Smini features a 4.5-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1,170 x 480 pixels and a pixel density of 281 PPI. The phone has a dimension of 133 x 60 x 13.5 millimeters and weighs just 155 grams. It’s noticeably smaller and narrower than the Apple iPhone 13 Mini, making it a true pocket-friendly companion. The DOOGEE Smini boasts a MIL-STD-810H standard, body with IP68 water and dust resistance as well as an IP69K rating for resistance against high-pressure and high-temperature water jets.

There is also a power-saving 7-segment second display at the back for showing time, temperature, battery level, and more. Inside, the device is powered by the 2.2GHz 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 8GB RAM, 7GB Extended RAM, 256GB internal storage, up to 2TB microSD card slot expansion, and a 3,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 18W fast charging. For photography, the front-facing 8-megapixel camera is equipped with 3D facial recognition for secure unlocking, adding a layer of convenience to its retro charm. Additionally, a fingerprint sensor is conveniently located on the right side for alternative biometric security. For cameras, it uses a 50MP AI main camera and a 2MP macro shooter. In front, it has an 8MP selfie snapper. the Doogee Smini runs on Android 13 os.
