Gigabyte has listed a new motherboard called the TRX50 AERO D, unofficially revealing AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series of Threadripper processors. Interestingly, this motherboard appears to support both AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 and Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 series CPUs. Currently, it is unclear what the difference is between these Pro and non-Pro models. AMD’s Threadripper lineup targets content creation and heavy workstation workloads. Threadripper CPUs feature high core counts, many PCIe lanes, and support for more memory than their standard Ryzen counterparts. With TRX50, AMD are moving their Threadripper CPU lineup to DDR5, specifically, DDR5 R-DIMMs, at least according to this motherboard listing. With their TRX50 AERO D, Gigabyte are offering users support for four DDR5 R-DIMM modules, 10GbE connectivity, WIFI 7, Dual USB 4 ports, and a huge number of PCIe lanes.  One of the noteworthy features of the TRX50 is its support for PCIe Gen5 GPUs and the ability to accommodate up to three cards simultaneously, although the exact specifications are not provided. It’s anticipated that the TRX50 will offer up to 64 PCIe Gen5 lanes and provide  four supported M.2 slots.Regarding memory support, the board is compatible with up to four R-DIMM memory modules, which support AMD EXPO and Intel XMP overclocking profiles. The highest-rated memory configuration is DDR5-6800 in a 1Rx8 setup using the EXPO profile
