Intel has unleashed an exciting new product line for consumer high-performance graphics – the Intel® Arc™ discrete graphics codenamed Alchemist, built to enable premium gaming, creating, and streaming experiences. The Arc A-Series GPUs are built on its new Xe High Performance Graphics micro architecture that features Xe cores with built-in XMX AI capabilities and 3D acceleration hardware for enhanced gaming performance. Along with these, Intel Arc GPUs have support for DirectX 12, ray tracing, and variable rate shading.
The chipmaker revealed the first Arc 3 GPUs – A350M and A370M, which are said to offer enhanced 1080p gaming and advanced content creation. The Arc 5 and Arc 7 models like A550M, A730M, and A770M are designed for gaming and they will be launching later this year. The A350M has six Xe-cores and six ray tracing units, and the A370M comes with eight Xe-cores and eight ray tracing units. Both GPUs will come with 4GB GDDR6 (64-bit) memory configurations.
Along with the hardware, Intel also revealed Intel Arc Control, allows Arc users to monitor performance, install drivers and other updates, record game highlights and even connect to livestreaming apps like Xsplit for easier game streaming. There’s also Deep Link, tech designed to give Arc cards an extra performance boost when working with Intel’s integrated graphics in its CPU range.
