Several mobile and desktop CPUs based on Tiger Lake silicon are to be discontinued by January 2024. The process has already started this week and will have a few stages before the CPUs officially reach ‘end of life’ status. Intel lists five mobile 11th Gen Core-H series SKUs, including the Core i7-11800H which was probably the most popular CPU for gaming laptops in the series. The company also confirms that four B-series ‘desktop’ CPUs will also be discontinued. Those are the mobile/desktop hybrid SKUs that were used by Intel NUC Extreme systems.
