ViewSonic Corp. recently introduced the M10 portable RGB laser projector, aiming to bring innovation to the home entertainment landscape. The M10 stands out with its use of advanced RGB laser technology, departing from the typical single blue laser beam approach. This RGB laser tech produces red, green, and blue rays, expanding the color gamut to meet the BT.2020 standard. The ViewSonic M10 sets itself apart from other projectorsincorporating advanced RGB laser technology. Unlike traditional laser projectors that use a single blue laser, the M10 utilizes individual red, green, and blue lasers for superior color richness. By merging these lasers into a single compact unit, the M10 can cover 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut. Notably, this surpasses the color requirements of cinema-grade displays adhering to DCI-P3, the industry standard for digital cinema. As a result, users can expect visuals that are not only vibrant but also incredibly lifelike.
The ViewSonic M10 boasts Full HD visuals with support for HDR/HLG content. With a brightness output of 2,200 lumens, the M10 ensures optimal viewing even in illuminated environments. It can project images up to a colossal 180 diagonal inches, although this requires a viewing distance of over 15 feet. For a more immersive experience, placing the projector 8.7 ft away will still provide a generous 100-inch big-screen display. It incorporates time-of-flight sensing for autofocus in seconds, as well as auto horizontal/vertical keystone correction. While lacking a built-in smart TV platform, the M10 offers Wi-Fi connectivity for seamless content casting from smartphones or other media sources. It also provides HDMI and USB ports for easy connection to streaming devices such as Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire Stick. the ViewSonic M10 includes a 7-W Harman Kardon Cube speaker for excellent audio quality. Alternatively, it can be paired with wireless headphones via Bluetooth 4.2. When not in use for projecting visuals, the M10 can serve as a Bluetooth speaker, adding versatility to its functionality.
