After unveiling the Evnia 49M2C8900 5K monitor in August, Philips is back with a new monitor called the Evnia 32M2C5500W. This 32-inch curved monitor has a high resolution, high refresh rate panel crafted for immersive and fast-paced gaming. Specifically, the Evnia 32M2C5500W measures 31.5-inches across and has a 1000R curvature to create a more immersive experience. In a press release, Philips states that the Evnia 32M2C5500W utilises a VA pane that outputs at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels (1440p) with a 93 PPI pixel density and a 4,000:1 contrast ratio. Additionally, the vibrant panel delivers a 240 Hz native refresh rate, as well as 0.5 ms MPRT response times and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support to mitigate image tearing. It holds DisplayHDR 400 certification, enhancing HDR performance, and covers 92% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut for rich and accurate colours. Additionally, the monitor offers an sRGB mode for colour-accurate work, a LowBlue Mode to reduce eye strain, and an EasyRead mode for comfortable on-screen reading.
In terms of connectivity, the monitor features two HDMI 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, a USB 3.2 hub with four ports and fast-charging capabilities, a USB-B upstream port, an audio out port, and a sync input port. Other notable features include flicker-free technology for reduced eye strain and VESA wall-mount compatibility for versatile placement options.
