The PocketBook Basic Lux 4 e-reader has been launched. The new PocketBook e-reader comes with a compact display like a smartphone. It is the successor to the PocketBook Basic Lux 3, and the new Basic Lux 4 sports a 6-inch E Ink display having 212 PPI resolution. The light however lacks adjustable colour temperature control. Physical page turn buttons are present just below the display, which is a multisensory touchscreen. Apart from its compact display, the PocketBook Basic Lux 4 is among the lightest in its category with a weight of 155g.
The e-reader comes with microSD card support which should come in handy given that the onboard storage stands at 8 GB. Other features include Wi-Fi and a USB-C port, the latter being a healthy upgrade over the microUSB port that the Basic Lux 3 came with. The PocketBook Basic Lux 4 has a battery life of about 30 days on a single charge. Finally, the compact design of the device makes it an easy companion to use on the go.
