Samsung is announcing the future of gaming monitors with the newest entries in its Odyssey monitor series: Odyssey Neo G9 57” and the 2023 Odyssey Ark 55”. The new gaming monitors are now on display at the world’s largest video game event, Gamescom2023.Samsung launched the Odyssey Neo G9 Monitor featuring a dual UHD display for gamers in India. The Odyssey Neo G9 is the latest addition to the Odyssey series and delivers 7680×2160 resolution on a 57-inch large screen with 1000R curvature and a 32:9 aspect ratio in one screen. The monitor supports a high density of 140PPI (Pixels per inch), along with a peak brightness of 1000 nits, and a contrast ratio of 1000000:1.
The monitor also gets DisplayPort 2.1 input, which transfers data approximately twice as fast as the previously used DisplayPort 1.4, and a 240Hz refresh rate along with swift 1ms response time. The monitor has a slim design with Core Lighting+ on the back panel that mimics the game scenes and changes according to the colours on the screen. The monitor comes with an Ergonomic Stand, which would allow users to adjust the monitor’s height or tilt. The display supports picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture to make the most of its large screen footprint.
Samsung has upgraded the Odyssey Ark 55” gaming monitor, the world’s first 55-inch 1000R curved gaming screen. Building on the success of its predecessor, the new Odyssey Ark (G97NC). The monitor offers a 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms GTG response time, providing gamers with a competitive edge and smooth gameplay. The Cockpit Mode introduces a vertical orientation, offering fresh perspectives for exploration.The 2023 Odyssey Ark introduces the Samsung Multi View feature, allowing users to view up to 4 inputs simultaneously. It improves split-screen capabilities, providing convenience and command in one screen, even with external devices. The new DP input also supports 4K UHD streams for high-quality entertainment. The Odyssey Ark now serves as a centralized hub for various computer needs. The Keyboard, Video, Mouse (KVM) switch feature enables seamless multitasking across multiple devices using a single mouse and keyboard setup.
