Xiaomi has launched the 2023 refresh of its entry-level Smart TV A series in India. The big new update is the underlying software. All Xiaomi Smart TV A series models— 32-, 40-, and 43-inch— are running Google TV, in addition to the company’s own PatchWall UI. Xiaomi has also baked in a new app or service inside these TVs, called PatchWall Plus, for users to watch over 200 free-to-air live channels under one roof.The 32-inch model offers an HD display with a 1366 x 768-pixel resolution, a 60Hz screen refresh rate, and a wide 178-degree viewing angle. On the other hand, the 40-inch and 43-inch variants come with a Full HD display having a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and support for the Vivid Picture Engine. All three models are equipped with two 20W speakers supporting Dolby Audio and DTS technology, DTS Virtual: There is support for auto-low latency mode (ALLM) for gaming purposes.
Internally, the Xiaomi Smart TV A series is powered by a quad-core A35 processor. It packs 1.5GB RAM and 8GB onboard storage. The televisions come with a built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant. They run on Google TV with Xiaomi’s PatchWall+ UI on the top that offers Mi Home integration, IMDb, Live TV, universal search, and kids’ mode. The televisions ship with a Bluetooth-enabled remote control with Quick Mute and Quick Wake functionalities. Connectivity options on the Xiaomi Smart TV A series include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5, two HDMI ports, two USB ports, and a 3.5mm jack.
